Offshoots of life
There are many ventures brewing right now in Emily-land. In particular, two new blogs and the completion of my course in Herbalism. It may not seem too exacting and scientific to study herbalism, but you’d be surprised. Of course, it is also me, so I have to have every detail researched and cross-referenced. But that’s especially important when you’re an unlicensed practitioner anyway, so it’s all good.
It’s taken a while to get the full picture formulated. Not just the business itself, planning and foresight, but also juggling multiple schedules, each with their own priorities. On top of all of that, time to spend with the kids and beloved hubby and independent time to work on my personal studies, mostly dhamma-related but also a lot of other stuff.
The past few months have been difficult, with the kids back in school, my regular working day and all of these other projects. It’s been overwhelming from time to time. But overall, I’m glad I am part of such a wonderful, supportive sangha both online and offline. Every person, group country and planet has its ups and downs- but everything is progress, because ‘forwards’ and ‘backwards’ are merely matters of perspective.
In all of my ventures, there is an emphasis on providing others with opportunities. When these come to fruition, I will announce it here and elsewhere, such as on my Twitter account. If there’s any one of them that you’d like to join me in, just let me know!
Gassho,
Emily

Sounds like some good stuff you’re doing. Good luck with it! I’m just starting a year-long writing program, taking care of my grandmother several days a week, trying to balance a lot too and still remember to meditate.
Sending metta.
